Mindfulness in the Classroom

Presented by Kaitlin Moran, a Boston Public Schools teacher and 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, this workshop will introduce K-12 teachers to habits and practices of mindfulness they can incorporate into the classroom. With numerous studies citing the beneficial effects of mindfulness for students, this workshop aims to help you incorporate mindfulness practices into all classrooms. We will review current literature on mindfulness in school, practice pranayam (breathing) and meditation, and then move through classroom-relevant asana (movement) suitable to the classroom.
